Ingredients:
- 4 large Bosc pears
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup raw honey
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each pear in half lengthwise.
- Use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out the center seeds, creating a small well in each half.
- Brush the cut side of the pears with melted butter and place them cut side up in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Note: Microwave for 10 seconds if the honey is too thick to pour.
- Drizzle the honey mixture evenly into the center of each pear, allowing some to pool at the bottom of the dish.
- Place the dish on the center rack of the oven.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges soften and the glaze bubbles into a deep amber syrup.
- Top with chopped walnuts and dried cranberries during the last 5 minutes of baking to toast the nuts.
