Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 bunch scallions, cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat the neutral oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the ground beef in an even layer and sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a crust, then break it apart and cook until browned.
  3. Push the beef to the sides of the pan and add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the center. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the sauce mixture and toss with the beef for 1 minute until glazed.
  5. Add the scallion lengths and toss for 45 seconds until bright green and crisp.
