Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 bunch scallions, cut into 2-inch lengths
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Heat the neutral oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the ground beef in an even layer and sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a crust, then break it apart and cook until browned.
- Push the beef to the sides of the pan and add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the center. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and toss with the beef for 1 minute until glazed.
- Add the scallion lengths and toss for 45 seconds until bright green and crisp.
